Obituary for Paul Leslie Newman
Paul Leslie Newman, 82, died Friday, April 1, 2016 at St. Dominic Hospital.
Mr. Newman was born on September 18, 1933 in Brookhaven, the son of the late, Henry and Lula Mae Newman. He attended New Sight School and graduated from Co-Lin High School. Mr. Newman continued his education graduating from Co-Lin Community College and MS College. After graduation he embarked on his career in business. He owned and operated many businesses spanning from 1967 to present day including, Lincoln Ready Mix, MS Bonding Company, MS Probation Services and MS. Warrant Network.
A member of Truitt Memorial Baptist Church, He believed in God, family and work in that order. Mr. Newman enjoyed fishing and gardening including flowers and vegetables. He cherished spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth (Mimi) Newman of Pearl; daughter, Paula (Polly) Ruth Newman of Pearl; son, Gene Newman of Pearl; son, Kenneth Leslie Newman of Manhattan, NY; daughter, Edith (Edie) Newman of Pearl; daughter, Fancy Newman Cleveland of Florence; grandchildren, Klaye Chambliss of Brandon; Kyle Chambliss of Pearl; Ann Newman Evans of Brandon; Russ Newman of Pearl and 10 great grandchildren
