Obituary for John Jebson Grace
John Jebson Grace, 63, was born on October 6, 1952 in Union, Mississippi and died on April 25, 2016 after a hard fought and lengthy battle with respiratory illness. He was a practicing Methodist and attended Church regularly.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Jean Ball Grace.
Jeb is survived by his father, John N. Grace, Jr. and stepmother, Shirley. He is also survived by his son, John Nicholas Grace and Jeb’s brother Jud Grace (Barby) of Jackson. Also Surviving are his stepbrother, Tracy Abernathy and step sister, Paula Melerine. He also leaves his uncle, Dr. George Ball (Martha) and aunt, Betty Jeffrey along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews, he cared deeply about.
He was a graduate of Wingfield High, Hinds Community College, and Mississippi State University. While at Wingfield he was named All-City in baseball, basketball, and football where he was a two-way player scoring 94 points his senior year in the Big Eight. In addition he was very passionate about Karate (Shotokan) where he achieved the Rank of 3rd Degree Black Belt and gained many life-long friends. He had a huge heart and was absolutely fearless throughout life.

His brother Jud asks that all his many friends join him in a celebration of Life for Jebber in the near future. Jud will notify every one of the time and place through social media. Jeb truly loved his many friends and would enjoy a good celebration better than anyone. His love for laughter, conversation, and friendship will be a joy to toast.
