Jw “Judge” Richardson, 90 passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at The Blake in Ridgeland.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00am August 12, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Flora with visitation beginning
at 9:00am. Graveside services will follow at the Flora cemetery.
Jw was born September 6, 1932, the son of the late Elton and Virginia Richardson. A long time
resident of Flora, he worked alongside his wife Rose in their family businesses. He loved his family and
cherished his time with his kid and grandkids. He was a member of Flora Baptist Church where he
taught Sunday School for 52 years. He absolutely loved life, he never met a stranger, always loved
helping others, always had a story to tell, and if needed, he would willingly give advise.
Jw had a life full of work and associations to include: MRS parts dept manager, Justice of the Peace,
Flora Motor Parts, Richardson Brothers, Triple R, Mayor of Flora, Holmes Jr. College alumni, and an Ole
Miss alumni. He loved reading the bible and preparing for teaching his Sunday school class, gardening,
calling friends, staying busy, and TCA football.
He is preceded in death by his wife Rose Richardson, and parents, Elton and Virginia Richardson.
Survivors include: son, Lewis Kalil (Laura) of Bentonia, son Jay Richardson of Nashville, son, Elton
Richardson (Angie) of Madison; grandchildren, Ruby Ann, Tony (Ashley), Elena, Nathan (Kelly), Brielle
(Garrett), Noah, Chris, Brandon; great grandchildren, Jonah, Kohen, Fynlee Rose, George and Riley;
brother Bill Richardson (Becky) of Flora, sister Virginia Ann Gober (Ronnie) of Austin, sister Mary
Nicholson (Nick) of Austin.
Memorials contributions: (in lieu of flowers) may be made to First Baptist Church Flora, Mens Sunday
School Class.
Service Details: August 12,2023. Flora Baptist Church, Flora. Visitation 9:00am to 11:00am. Service
11:00am with grave side services at Flora Cemetery. Reverend Gil Powell officiating.
