She was born on February 20, 1943, in Worcester, Massachusetts to Joseph Dominik Ventresca and Grace D’Elia Ventresca (Shrewsbury, MA). She married her lifetime love and best friend, Vincent J. Iacaboni (Leominster, MA) on November 20, 1964. Together, they traveled all over the world and enjoyed fine dining, sight-seeing and concerts. She was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and always made holiday and birthdays extra special celebrations.

Joann attended Venerini Academy in Worcester, MA, received her associate’s degree from UMass in Boston and her bachelor's degree in Health Information Management from University of Mississippi Medical Center. She was a Registered Records Administrator and Certified Professional Medical Staff Manager. Joann was one of the founding administrators of River Oaks Hospital when it opened over twenty-five years ago. Subsequently, in 1999, she opened The Verification Group, the state of Mississippi’s first credentials verification organization. Over the years, she served as President of the MS Health Information Management Association and MS Association of Medical Staff Managers, among other roles. One of her greatest professional achievements was the development of the MS State Participating Physician Application which is mandated for use by all insurance companies in the state. Joann also served many years as a clinical professor for health information management program at the University of MS Medical Center.

Joann is predeceased by her parents, sister Evelyn Ventresca Moore (Ashburnham, MA) and son, Vincent J. Iacaboni, Jr. (Jackson, MS). She is survived by her husband, Vincent; daughter Kristina Iacaboni Cutrer (Ken) and grandson Christopher (Madison, MS); granddaughters Olivia and Grace Iacaboni; and daughter-in-law, Kedrin Martin Iacaboni (Dallas, TX); niece / God daughter, Darcy Fletcher Messineo (Steve), great nephews Nicholas and Zachary, and great niece, Madilyn (Shrewsbury, MA). Joann is also survived by many cousins and friends in Massachusetts and Philadelphia with whom she maintained close relationships across the years and miles.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, employer and friend and will be greatly missed.
