Obituary for Henry Conoy Williams Jr.
Henry Conoy Williams, Jr. of Jackson, MS went to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Henry is survived by his loving wife Ann, of 47 years, who was by his side throughout his life and his illness.

Henry was born the son of Merle and Conoy Williams. He spent his childhood in Richton, Mississippi and was an active member of First Baptist Church.

He graduated from Mississippi State with a B.S. Degree in accounting. Henry was a Certified Public Accountant, Member of the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants, and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Henry began his career in Jackson, MS as a staff accountant/Senior Auditor with Peat, Marwick, Main and Company; then worked for Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company. In 1980 Henry and Ann moved to Greenville, MS where Henry became the Comptroller of Port City Barge Line, Inc. In 1983 Henry became Treasurer of Mississippi Drug Company, Inc. in Jackson.

In 1987 Henry accepted a job with Jackson Oil Products Co., Inc./Windward Petroleum/Dutch Lubricants. He assumed the responsibility of Director of Operations, the Vice-President of Operations, then Comptroller. Henry enjoyed being a part of the business side of the accounting and corporate management. He was very dedicated and loyal to the companies he worked for and would always go the extra mile.

In 2019 Henry and Ann, along with Kathleen and Cecil Wells opened Fondren Fine Paper and Gifts, which had been a dream of Henrys.

Henry and Ann joined Christ United Methodist Church after their marriage. Later they became members of First Presbyterian Church. Henry served as President of the Young Seeker’s Sunday School Class in 2013 and enjoyed being a part of the small group ministry (D-Group). He loved the closeness of his church family, which in turn were very supportive of him through his illness. Henry loved God. He faced his cancer with great courage, faith and dignity. Through his many trials, he was more concerned about others than himself. He brought such joy and laughter to so many.

He liked working in the yard growing flowers and plants. He was very creative, which showed in many facets of his life. Henry was a devoted son to his parents. He also shared his love for Ann’s family.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 14th at First Presbyterian Church in Jackson. Visitation will 10:00 a.m. in the Greeting Courtyard, Memorial Service following at 11:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary. There is special seating upstairs in the Sanctuary for people with COVID concerns.
