Obituary for Valerie Daniel Parsons
Valerie Daniel Parsons, 59, passed away Monday, July 26, 2021, at her residence in Madison. Valerie was born August 4, 1961, to Bill and Shelby Daniel in Crestview, Florida. Our mother, Valerie, was one of the strongest women to ever walk this earth, and we were blessed to have her as the head of our family. She was a 1979 graduate of Glynn Academy in Brunswick, GA. Her passion in life was her family; she was kind, tenderhearted, and full of love. She was a volunteer for at-risk youth in the Jackson Metro Area for several years, where she was able to share her love with many others. She had an innate ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. Valerie truly lived her life to the fullest. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends, and recently found a passion for baking and crafting. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life, as she devoted much of her time and energy towards them. Valerie was a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and she will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents Bill and Shelby Daniel; step-mother, Patricia Daniel; and step-sister, Danna Gaddy. Valerie is survived by her sons, Matthew Daniel Toulomelis of Clinton, MS, and John David Wynne, Jr. “JD” (Melissa) of Brandon, MS; her daughter, Kristen Deason (Chad) of Flowood, MS; brother, Billy Daniel of Duncanville, AL; sister, Angie Poteet of Huntsville, AL; step-sister, Debbie Langford (Dewitt) of Crystal Springs, MS; grandchildren. Emma, Brady, Cole, and John Harper; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends. A memorial service will be at Sebrell Funeral Home on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 2 PM with Dr. Jack Manor officiating. Visitation begins at 1 PM until 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to Ever Reaching Community Outreach (ERCO). https://www.everreaching.com/donate
