Obituary for Ricky Lee McKlemurry
Ricky Lee McKlemurry died Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at St. Dominic Jackson Memorial Hospital. He was 60.
Born in Baton Rouge on March 5, 1961, he was the son of the late Richard L. and Louise Heaton McKlemurry.
Ricky was a longtime auto-body technician and was employed at Barnett’s Body Shop in Florence. He was an avid outdoorsman and known for his love of fishing. In recent years, however, Ricky had laid down his fishing rods, to attend his daughter Emily’s softball games; he was Emily’s biggest fan!
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Vivian Stewart McKlemurry, of Brandon; daughter, Emily McKlemurry; sister, Pam Roberts (Ken), of Brandon; brothers, Ron McKlemurry (Karen), of Florence and Philip McKlemurry, of Byram; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland, with Ronnie Walters, Pastor Emeritus of ChristWay Church, officiating. Graveside service and interment to follow at Brandon Memorial Gardens with Pastor Larry Bean of ChristWay Church, officiating. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jason Hannah, Bernard Crump, David Roberts, Jordan Roberts, Stephen McKlemurry, and Jacob McKlemurry.
Honorary pallbearers will be Seth Roberts, Chuck Joyner, Josh McKlemurry, Jeremy McKlemurry, and Jacob Lal.
