Obituary for Phillip Stacy Smith
Phillip “Stacy” Smith passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at University of Mississippi Medical Center with his beloved daughter, Anna at his side. He was 52. He was born July 11, 1968 to the late Phillip Leon Smith and Linda McDaniel Smith at Andrew’s Air Force Base in Maryland. He attended Madison Ridgeland High School and Madison Ridgeland Academy. He was descended from one of Ridgeland’s first families , The Adcock’s. Stacy had sparkling blue eyes and a beautiful smile that would light up a room, he was a perfectionist and had a great sense of humor , he loved cars, music and was a grill master. He owned Smith Tile; he could design a tile pattern like no other. Stacy could fix anything, build anything and was the epitome of “DIY”, before it was popular. He was a hard worker that was always doing something. He loved Ole Miss Rebels football. Stacy was a devoted father that adored his children, he was a loving son and a friend to many. He will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his father, Phillip Smith; grandmother, Bessy Adcock Carr and his grandchild, Lundyn Thompson.
Stacy is survived by his mother, Linda Smith of Ridgeland; his son, Tristan Smith of Crystal Springs; daughter, Anna Smith of Ridgeland; brother, Chad Scott Smith of Ridgeland; and grandchildren, Adrian Thompson and Cameron Thompson.
Memorial service will be Friday, May 14, 2021 at Sebrell Funeral Home at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
