Obituary for Dorothy Carol Massey
Dorothy Carol Massey died on Friday, April 9, 2021 at her home in Pearl. She was 67.
Born in Lanstul, Germany on Christmas Day in 1953, she was the daughter of the late Hubert M. and Shirley Hatton Monk.
Dorothy was a familiar face at Cracker Barrel in Pearl where she worked for over 23 years.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Michael Oliver, and a brother, Hubert Monk.
She is survived by her sons, Ronnie Massey, Christopher Massey, and Stephen Massey; grandchildren: Elizabeth Oliver, Valerie Dixon, Tyler Davis, Benjamin Oliver, Gracie Oliver, Savanah Massey, Taylor Massey, and Courtney Massey; great granddaughter, Laney Gray; brother, Calvin Monk; sisters, Felicia Garrison (Don) and Teresa Little; daughter-in-law, Emily Oliver; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Oakdale Baptist Church, 1872 MS-471, Brandon, with Pastor Rodney Jones, officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at the church.
