Obituary for Genevieve "Jenny" Ory LeMoine
Genevieve “Jenny” Ory LeMoine died on Monday, April 5, 2021. She was 94.
A native of Mt. Airy, Louisiana and born on March 13, 1927, she was the beloved daughter of the late Emilien and Louisa Vicknair Ory.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph F. LeMoine; and her siblings: Ernestine “Titine” Ory, Eurline Babin, Eva Gayout, Ida Smith, Raymond Ory, and Mabel “Mae-Mae” Anna Ory.
She is survived by her son, David LeMoine (Judy); grandchildren, Nicole Roof (Nate) and David LeMoine (Molly); great grandson, Lukas Cohen Roof; sister, Scolastic “Catie” Ory St. Pierre; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 9, 2021 at St. Richard Catholic Church in Jackson, Fr. John Bohn, celebrant. Rite of Committal to follow at Parkway Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service at the church.
The family wishes to express their gratitude and appreciation to Compassus Hospice and their caring staff for the compassion and care shown to Jenny and her family during this final journey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Richard Catholic Church, 1242 Lynwood Drive, Jackson, MS 39206.
