WILLIAM KEVIN MITCHELL

William Kevin Mitchell died February 1, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 52.

A native and lifelong resident of Terry, Mississippi, and born September 13, 1968, he was the son of Carolyn McManus Mitchell and the late William Earl Mitchell.

Kevin attended Byram High School and at the age of 17 began working with his father at the family business, William Mitchell Concrete Inc. Kevin and his brother have operated the business together for over 35 years. Kevin was no stranger to hard work. He loved life and he loved his family. Even though he battled cancer for over 18 years, he was unwavering in his commitment to taking care of his family, living his life to the fullest, and always working hard.

He is preceded in death by his father, William E. Mitchell.

He is survived by his wife, Brande Bruce Mitchell; daughter, Brittnee Bruce; son, William Matthew Mitchell; mother, Carolyn McManus Mitchell; brother, John Clint Mitchell (Jennifer); nephew, John Mason Mitchell; his lifelong best friend, John Neal; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be private. In lieu of usual remembrances, memorials may be made to Blair E. Batson Children’s of Mississippi Hospital, 2500 N. State St, Jackson, MS 39216.
