Obituary for Zyonda Lea Adams
Zyonda L. Adams, 55, of Clinton, Mississippi passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. She was born October 4, 1962 in Watertown, SD. Zyonda enjoyed bunco and nature but most of all family and friends. She loved music, travel, movies and a really good party. She loved being with people and treasured her friends and family and honored them by always sending birthday cards and notes of encouragement.

Zyonda had many different occupations. She worked in the automative industry and insurance industry. Zyonda’s caring spirit lead her to venture into Personal Care of people needing her services. She cared so much for her clients that they became part of her extended family. Several of her clients she had for over 10 years.

Zyonda’s mother received the following message from one of her clients: “Zyonda has been a loving and trusted caretaker for my aging father for many years. We came to rely on her and appreciated the love and companionship she gave him. She will be missed.”

She was a proud Penn State fan and never missed a NASCAR race. Zyonda had a huge t-shirt collection and was usually seen wearing one. Her birth month was her favorite month and Halloween was her favorite holiday. In fact, Zyonda decorated her house and yard for every holliday and local Clintonians would marvel at the outstanding yard decorations. From rest in peace tombstones to Easter eggs hanging from the trees. It was a thrill to see what she would come up with next.

Bunco for October was always at Zyonda’s, from the music playing to all the weird decorations moving and talking in the house and the yard, everyone knew they would not want to miss this bunco time. They would usualy come in costume as Zyonda directed. Her costumes ranged from Bride of Frankenstine to the Peanuts character Lucy. Her friends enjoyed a carnival scene that included a floating duck game and candy machine. A hugh sack of goodies that include our very own spider rings, pumpkin head pencils and eyeball glasses was given to each player. Her friends’ children and grandchildren couldn’t wait to get into the sacks. Who would have expected grown women to be bobbing for apples? Only Zyonda would have thought that up. Tradition was that the group couldn’t quit playing until Zyonda got a bunco.

Zyonda received her much deserved angel wings and was greeted home by her father, Richard Dann Adams, who predeceased her. She is survived by her mother Marilyn M. (Micki) Adams, brother Russell Donn Adams, niece Cortney Adams and nephew Richard Donn Adams and great niece Autum Grace Adams.

Zyonda will always have a special place in our hearts and will be sorely missed.
