William Patrick “Pat” Steinwinder, 80, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Beau Ridge Memory Care. Visitation is 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland, MS. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the Tylertown Cemetery in Tylertown, MS.
Born July 8, 1943, in Memphis, TN, Pat spent his early childhood in Tylertown, MS before moving to Jackson in 1957. Pat graduated from Murrah High School and Mississippi State University. He worked four years after college as a buyer with McDonnell Douglas Corp. helping build F-4 Phantom and F-15 Eagle Jets. Pat spent the remainder of his career with State Aid Road Division of M.D.O.T. in Jackson before retiring.
Pat enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as his yearly elk hunting trips with his two brothers-in-law. Pat was an active member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Jackson. The loving grace of God was manifest in Pat’s life. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Dorothy Jones Steinwinder of Jackson; brother, James Carter Steinwinder of Pope; parents, Jefferson Patrick Steinwinder, Jr. and Kathleen Carter Steinwinder of Jackson.
He is survived by his son, Andrew Jefferson Steinwinder (Kelly Dukes) of Madison; brother-in-law, Robert O. Jones of Tylertown; sister-in-law Edna Marie Ginn of Dallas, Texas; and a number of nephews.
