Obituary for William "Bill" Overstreet
William “Bill” Overstreet, 76, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, Mississippi. A memorial will be held at a later date.

Bill was savvy and knew his way around a computer. He was very active on Facebook and even acted as the administrator for several pages dedicated to all things, “Kosciusko.” He often posted pictures from days past which were taken in the town and stayed in touch with others who shared memories about the good old days. A naturally talented artist, he painted portraits, scenes from nature and also fruit. He enjoyed cooking for his family and was fabulous in the kitchen. He was celebrated for his sense of humor and was a loving father and husband who often enjoyed the company of his grand-dog, Widget.

He is preceded in death by his only son, who was as close as two people can be, Brent Overstreet, who passed away on November 22, 2010. Left to cherish his memory, his adoring wife of 52 years, Mary Wiles Overstreet of Clinton, MS; daughter, Terri Porter and husband Mark of Swansboro, NC; brother, Doug Overstreet and wife, Terry of Kosciusko, MS; sisters, Peggy Colletta of Kosciusko, MS and Paulette Woods of Byram, MS, and his treasured nieces and nephews.
