Obituary for William Albert Beaty


William A. Beaty, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 21, 2022. He was born in Columbus, MS to the late, Jacob William Beaty and Dorothy Ollie Belle Beaty. William was married to the love of his life, Evelyna Beaty for 34 wonderful years. He also served our country in the United States army for 21 years. William loved people, he enjoyed teaching Air Conditioning and Refrigeration at Votech, he filled in as a Sunday school teacher at Alta Woods Baptist Church, where he and Evelyna attended for over 30 years. He enjoyed working on cars, and making sure that his children knew how to maintain their vehicles, he taught us how to fish, so many funny stories could be told from those days. William loved helping the neighborhood children fix their bikes and anything else they needed help with. He worked at Pennington’s Shoes, not only measuring for the proper sixe but he used special machines to custom fit all the people he helped.

William Beaty, is pre deceased by his parents, wife, and two sisters, Eva Duncan (Tuscaloosa, AL), Mary Ruth Bolin (Columbus, MS).

He is survived by one daughter, Patricia Beaty Hartness, and three sons, Mike Beaty. Dennis Beaty, and Ronald Beaty, Five Grandchildren, 7 great- grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
