Obituary for Virginia Elizabeth Bass
Virginia Elizabeth Bass, 65, died April 16, 2019 in Vicksburg surrounded by her family. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, 20, 2019 at Pleasant Hills Baptist Church Cemetery (512 Rockport New Hebron Road) near Georgetown, MS.

Mrs. Bass was born on August 24, 1953, in Biloxi, the daughter of the late Dallas and Johneen Biggers. A resident of Vicksburg for over 30 years, she retired as a LPN II with Parkview Hospital. Mrs. Bass enjoyed traveling, especially the Mississippi River with her husband, Steve who was a river boat captain. She also enjoyed riding four wheelers and cookouts with friends at Copiah Creek and working in her yard. Most of all Mrs. Bass cherished spending time with her family. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Crystal Springs, MS.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Steve Bass.

Survivors include: daughter, Ashley Diggs and fiancé, Walter C Day, Jr., of Vicksburg; son, Jason Detreich and wife Amber of Florida; son, Jonathan Chandler and significant other, Crystal Wren of Vicksburg; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and brother, Johnny Biggers and wife, Sylvie of Florida.
