VIncent Diley, 71, of Brandon MS, passed away surrounded by loved ones in his home on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. He is preceded in death by his father, Don Diley, and his mother Marion Diley. He is survived by his only brother Mark, his beloved wife of 34 years, Juliet, his children and their spouses; Bryan, Ashley, Chris, Martina, Mason, Reva, Adison, Lydia, Noah; his 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was born in Vallejo, California in February, 1951.
Vincent served 20 years in the United States Navy and all of his life serving others. He spent most of his life in sales, the longest position was at Schwans where his best-selling item was cheese. Vincent had a “different” sense of humor, after losing his first leg he had tshirts made, one read “dance lessons half off” and “wanted: one leg $500 reward if found”. After losing his pinky toe on his other foot he said “I’m going to heaven in pieces''. He was the best at making light of a situation and finding something to be funny about. While wearing his trademark Hawaiian shirt, you would find him always making a point to make someone's day. It could be him passing out candy to kids (and adults too) at Lowes, telling someone how beautiful they were (but never more beautiful than his wife) or sharing the gospel through his life stories.
He was a devout Christian, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. In lieu of flowers we ask for donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or your favorite children’s charity. His service will be held Saturday, October 1st at Sebrell Funeral Home, 425 Northpark Dr Ridgeland, MS 39157. Visitation will be from 10-11AM and a memorial service will follow at 11AM officiated by Jason Stoker.
The family is requesting anyone attending to come in their Hawaiian casual attire as per Vince’s request!
