Obituary for Tommy Barron, Jr.
Tommy Barron, Jr., 55, died Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at UMC surrounded by his family. A service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Tommy was born in Jackson, the son of Tommie Barron, Sr. and Virginia Wilson Barron Smith. A resident of Harrisville, Tommy worked as a court reporter for over 30 years. He currently was working at David Ringer Law Firm. He was a gentle, loving, and caring man who had a passion for life. He was a friend to many and never met a stranger. Tommy was an avid outdoorsman, he loved to fish and hunt. He cherished his family most of all and will most be remembered as a beloved son, a devoted and loving father, a cherished brother and loving friend.
Tommy is survived by his mother, Virginia Barron Smith of Harrisville; his soul mate and companion, Kathy Dufrene of Harrisville, MS; son, William Tommy Barron; daughter, Monica Laura Barron and their mother, Laura Barron all of Pearl. He is also survived by brother, Darrick Barron and his wife, Donna of Harrisville and their children, Dara Jones and Dallas Peeples both of Florence; brother, Guy Wesley Barron of Harrisville and his children, Devin Barron and Guy Wesley Blake Barron.
