Obituary for Thomas Joseph Skirtech
Thomas Joseph Skirtech, JR, May 15,1951 - June 26, 2021 Madison, MS
Tom Skirtech was born and raised in Canton, Ohio and moved to Mississippi with his family in 1979. Tom lived an amazing life as an athlete, father, musician and teacher. Tom was a passionate caring soul with a heart bigger than he was. Tom loved everyone he connected with and loved them selflessly, Including his wife of 42 years, Jennifer Skirtech, his three children, Dane Skirtech, Ben Skirtech, Emily Parker and his 9 grandchildren. Tom was an exceptional writer and poet as well as a passionate muscian who's virtuosic harmonica melodies rivaled any of the blues greats and will be missed as much as they were respected among his peers in the metro area music scene.
Tom was called home to eternal peace on the morning of Saturday, June 26, while walking his faithful dog and friend, Roscoe.
Services for Tom will be 12 :00 PM Wednesday, June 30 at Old Rice Road Baptist Church In Madison, followed by graveside at Parkway Cemetery in Ridgeland. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM at Old Rice Road Baptist Church.
