Obituary for Thomas Noel Hilton
Thomas Noel Hilton, Sr., 93, of Jackson, MS, passed away on January 14, 2020. He was born in Simpson County south of Harrisville, Mississippi, on January 30, 1926, the son of the late Ida Mae Haley Hilton and the late Isaac Noel Hilton, the fourth born of six children. He was a graduate of Central High School in Jackson, attended Hinds Jr. College, Mississippi State University and graduated from Millsaps College. He served during WWII in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Elizabeth Parkinson Ward Hilton, children Rebecca Hilton Smith (Dan) of Franklin, TN, Deborah Hilton Hulse (Doyle) of Gulfport, MS, Thomas Noel Hilton, Jr. (Jennye) of Ridgeland, MS, step-children Amy Ward Sumners of Englewood, FL, and Parker Tillery Ward (Michelle) of Aurora, CO. He's also survived by his sister Ann Hilton Quint (Don) of Independence, MO., six grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 7th at 2:30 p.m. at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland, MS with burial following at Lakewood Memorial Cemetary in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on the 7th at the funeral home.
