Obituary for Thomas Eugene Sturgon
Thomas Eugene Sturgon, of Puckett, MS, age 87, Passed away April 1, 2017. Gene, or Sonny as he was affectionately known to his family and friends, is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Alice; his three children: Charles Steven and his fiancee Holly Reed of Johnstown, CO, Franklin Thomas and his wife Lana of Puckett, MS and Cheryl Sturgon Gherity and her husband Lee of Conifer, CO. Gene was very proud of his Grandchildren; Gena, Steven, Jonathan, Thomas and Erynn. He is also survived by his brother Richard Duane Sturgon of Canon City, CO. There are many nieces, nephews and extended family. Gene was born in Lamar, CO. He and Alice raised their children in Salida, CO and moved to Puckett in 1980. The viewing is this Friday, April 7th from 5-7 pm at Sebrell Funeral Home. Additional viewing will be Saturday, April 8th from 10:30-11:15 am with the church service beginning at 11:30 am at Holy Trinity – St. John the Theologian Greek Orthodox Church 5725 S. Pear Orchard Road, Jackson. Donations can be made to the Greek Orthodox Church.
