Obituary for Tal Lavon Thompson
Tal Lavon Thompson Brandon Tal Lavon Thompson, 57, died Saturday, July 11, 2020 in Brandon surrounded by lots of love. A visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm Monday, July 13, 2020 at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Sebrell Funeral Home. Mr. Thompson was born on March 2, 1963 in Mendenhall, the son of the late James Noel Thompson and Patsy May. Mr. Thompson was a loving grandfather, Harley loving blues man and the toughest guy around. He was an extraordinary entrepreneur and had a brilliant mathematical mind. He had a larger than life personality and always had a joke. He was hardworking and one of the toughest men you would meet. He was just like a cat, no matter which way you slung him, he always landed on his feet. He was a contractor, who constructed homes, but he helped build foundations in his grandchildren, his children and his friends. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, James Scott Thompson and niece, Autumn Thompson. Survivors include: daughter, Allison Thompson, son, Joshua Thompson and wife Cathy; daughter, Candace Johnson; grandchildren, Charles “Charlie” Thompson, Jolie Johnson, Karlie Johnson and Hartlie Johnson. He is also survived by brother, Terry Thompson and wife, Tina; brother, Douglas Thompson and wife Christy; Phillip Thompson and wife Shanna; sister, Cindy Clark and husband Chris; and sister, Melissa Hux and husband Stan and many family and friends.
