Obituary for Steven Paul Nichols
Steven Paul Nichols died Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at his home in Jackson, Mississippi. He was 58.
A native and lifelong resident of Jackson, he was the son of the late Elmer and Nancy Mullen Nichols.
Steve was a kind and compassionate man who never met a stranger. He was known for always lending a hand and volunteering, especially at Lee Elementary School when his son was younger, where he had also served as PTA president. His family remembers him as very witty and intelligent. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
He was a longtime active and faithful member of Church of God of Prophecy at Forest Hill.
He is survived by his son, Paul Austin Nichols and his wife, Jamie, and his grandchildren, twins: Jason Paul Nichols and Reagan Allie Nichols, all of Monroe, Georgia; sister, Lisa Frascogna (Pat), of Madison, Mississippi; sister, Amy Nichols, of Pearl, Mississippi; sister, Patty Barrera (Joseph), of Pontiac, Illinois; brother, Timothy Doyle Nichols, of Madison, Mississippi; sister, Heather Humer (Brian), of Flowood, Mississippi; and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will begin after 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 30, 2019 until the hour of the service at 12:00 Noon at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland. Graveside services to follow at 2:00 p.m. in Flora Cemetery.
