Obituary for Steve Tagert
Steve Tagert of Brandon, MS died on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at the age of 68 after a brief hospital stay. Steve was born on April 15, 1954 in Brandon to J.C. and Ruby Westbrook Tagert, and lived most of his life in Rankin County, Mississippi.

Mr. Tagert is survived by his wife, Melinda Tagert, sons Stephen and David Tagert, grandson Josh Young, his sister Shirley Long, brothers Robert and Jesse Tagert, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who loved him.

Mr. Tagert was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Kishia Young, grandson J.T. Young, granddaughter Rebecca Tagert, and sisters Katherine Jones and Betty Talbert.

Steve served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years. He worked in the construction trades for most of his life.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially deer hunting. He was loved and will be missed.

A private memorial service will be announced at a later date.
