Obituary for Sophie Diane Sumrall
Sophie Diane Sumrall, 59, died August 5, 2016 at home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland with burial in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Sophie was born on October 5, 1956, in Jackson, the daughter of the late John and Barbara Ingram. A graduate of Pearl High School, she continued her education at Hinds Community College.
Sophie cherished spending time with her son, Sam and was especially interested in all his hobbies. She loved animals, especially her cat, Max. A faithful Christian, she loved God. Sophie enjoyed music, particularly The Doors. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a fun and devoted mother, a beloved sister and a cherished aunt. Survivors include: her son Sam Ingram of Pearl; sister, Sandra Aline Redmon of Jackson; nephew, Andrew John Redmon of Jackson; niece, Rachel Aline Redmon of Pelahatchie; great – niece, Marlee Redmon and her cat, Maxamillion.
