Sherrill “Sherry” G. Robertson passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at St. Dominic Hospital. She was 70 years old.
A native of Noxapater, MS and born on August 13, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Rev. John A. and Imogene Parker Griffith.
Sherry was a longtime member of Jackson First Church where she served as pianist and a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was currently attending First Independent Methodist Church in Madison. She was a CPA with years of experience and enjoyed helping and interacting with her clients.
Sherry never met a stranger and was a genuine people person. She was kind and generous. She loved her faith, her family, especially her grandchildren, and her dogs.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Cecil Robertson; daughters, Lauren Robertson Wall (Bryan), of McKinney, TX and Leslie Lair (Paul), of Olathe, KS; and her beloved grandchildren, Benjamin Robert Wall and Anna Katherine Wall.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 28 at Jackson First Church, 6339 Hwy 18 West in Jackson, Pastor Wayne Hall, officiating. Interment will follow at Natchez Trace Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday at Sebrell Funeral Home, Ridgeland and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service at Jackson First Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to any animal rescue league or animal shelter or to a favorite charity.
