Sandra Stigler Randall, 82, died Saturday, September 16th surrounded by her family.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 20th from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland, Mississippi with a memorial service to immediately follow.
Sandra was born in Morgantown, West Virginia on June 17th, 1941 but grew up in Greenwood, Mississippi and spent the great majority of her life as a Mississippian. Sandra attended Greenwood High School from where she graduated before attending Ole Miss. She worked for Mississippi Public Broadcasting for most of her adult life from where she retired in 2001.
Sandra was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a beacon of love, compassion and selflessness leaving behind a legacy of unwavering care and devotion. Sandra was not just a mother but a guiding light in the many lives she touched. Her life was marked by kindness and boundless love. She was the embodiment of unconditional love, always putting the needs of her children, family, and loved ones before her own. Her spirit was a constant source of strength and support. She filled her home with laughter and warmth and always enjoyed the company of family and friends. Sandra was a confidant to many and a tremendous source of wisdom.
Throughout her life she could usually be found supporting one of her children’s or grandchildren’s athletic events and was known to be a very vocal supporter as she took great joy in watching them participate in sports and other activities. In her retirement years, Sandra was a regular volunteer at her Church, served as an IRS volunteer for tax services, and served one of the local elementary schools as a reader.
We mourn her loss but are thankful for the memories that we had with her. She will endure through the love that she passed on to those who knew her and the profound impact she had on all the lives she touched.
Sandra is survived by her sons Buck Randall, Jr. (Krista), Rafe Randall (Malinda), daughter Courtney Randall; grandchildren Jeremy Randall, Brogan Randall and Ella Randall; sisters Stevie Pillow and Bonnie Caruthers, and brother Jay Stigler; as well as many numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Buck Randall, Sr., parents Jesse and Virginia Stigler, brother Whitten (Whit) Stigler
