Sandra Ann Martin Monterey
Sandra Ann Martin, 72, died Friday, March 27, 2020 at home surrounded by her family. Due to the current nationwide health conditions, a family graveside service will held Sunday afternoon, March 29, 2020 at the Briar Hill Cemetery.
Sandra was born on March 9, 1948 in Swiftown, Mississippi; the daughter of the late William Edd Miller and Thelma Lee Miller. Sandra loved politics serving for 24 years as Election Commissioner in Rankin County. Her hobbies included fishing, sewing and collecting antique glass. Sandra was a member of Lifeline Baptist Church. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Allen Martin and a sister, Carolyn Sue Floyd.
She is lovingly survived by her daughters, Angela Martin Adcock (Ricky) of Braxton; Lisa Martin (Ellis) of Madison; Audrey Martin Robbins (Brian) of Vicksburg; grandchildren, Hope Harrington of Madison; PFC Colby Sweeney, US Army of Ft. Hood, TX; Courtney Sweeney of Vicksburg and Cameron Robbins of Vicksburg. She is also survived by sister, Shelia Elizabeth Rozas of Terry; brothers, William Felton Miller of Jackson; Allen Melton Miller of Madison; and sister, Minnie Melissa Miller of Monterey. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and numerous other family members.
