Obituary for Ruth Cochran Dykes
Ruth Cochran Dykes, 84, passed from this life, Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Harmony Court Assisted Living surrounded by family.
Ruth was born on January 25, 1932, in Clara, MS, the daughter of the late William Earnest Cochran and Celia Dees Cochran. She spent her career working as a data processor. Ruth’s greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was a member of Jackson First Church.
She is preceded in death by her 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
Survivors include: her son, George C. Dykes, Jr.(Debra) of Jackson; her daughter, Sherry Hobbs (Jack) of Madison; and her granddaughter, Heather Hobbs of Oxford, MS, and numerous nieces and nephews she loved very much.
A funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland with burial following in Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m.
