Obituary for Rose Ellen Pigott Bounds
Rose Ellen Pigott Bounds Ellen, age 92, a resident of Pearl, MS. Passed away on June 27, 2022. Ellen was born on November 13, 1929 in Tylertown, MS to Clyde and Vera Breeland. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pearl, MS, where she was a member of the Faith Sunday School Class and Merry Makers. She enjoyed visiting the shut-ins and nursing homes and playing Bingo at the Pearl Community Center with her friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Breeland and Vera Breeland and Father of her children, Winston “Wink” Pigott, Sr.; daughter, Melinda Pigott of Pearl, MS; son-in-law, Jim Israel, and brothers, Wilkie Breeland of Gulfport, MS and Jabus Breeland, of Plain Dealing, LA. Ellen is survived by her two daughters and one son; Diana Israel of Pearl, MS; Sandra and Ron Knox of McKenzie, TN; and son Tyler and Daphne Pigott of Pearl, MS. She is survived by five grandchildren, Craig (Vera) Knox of Spring, TX; Brent (Andrea) Knox of Knoxville, TN; Brad (Amy) Pigott of Meridian, MS; Emily (Derrick) Cross of Pelahatchie, MS; and Vince (Melissa) Vavrunek of Brandon, MS. She has twelve great grandchildren: Caitlin, Kyle, Carter and Vince Knox; Dustin, Elizabeth and Connor Knox; Lily and James Pigott and Ella, Anna Lea and Eva Vavrunek; and sister-in-law, Susan Breeland. Ellen was a wonderful Christian Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, who loved spending time with her family; cooking and also reading. Her nick name was “Mother on the Go” because she loved to shop. A Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., June 30, 2022, at Knoxo Baptist Church Cemetery, Tylertown, MS. Ellen will be buried next to her children’s Father, Wink Pigott, Sr. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Ministries or The Gideons.
