Robert L. Ainsworth fell asleep in the Lord on April 1 at home in the presence of his family and loved friends. He was born July 6, 1951, in Vicksburg, Ms., and he was raised in Hollandale, Ms. He was a graduate of Hollandale High School and Mississippi State University. He retired from a partnership in the company TWB. He loved to discuss economics, politics, and church history; and grow heirloom tomatoes. His great love for the Orthodox Church was shown by his faithful service and membership.
He is survived by his wife Susan; his brother-in-law, Bill( Rosemary) Kahlmus; his niece Mary Ann (Jay) Howell; his nephews Wilson (Anna) Kahlmus and Ben (Sarah) Kahlmus; as well as his great nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ainsworth, and his brother, John Ed Ainsworth.
The body will be received at Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, Clinton, on Tuesday at 4:00. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 6:00. Visitation on Wednesday morning will begin at ten o’clock. The funeral service will be at eleven o’clock with burial to follow in Clinton Cemetery next to the church. A mercy meal will be served in the Parish Hall after the service.
Pall bearers will be Bill Kahlmus, Wilson Kahlmus, Ben Kahlmus, Jay Howell, Henry Howell, Hunter Yerger, Johnny Cano, and John Dietrich. Memorials may be made to Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, 414 East College Street, Clinton, MS 39056- 4710.
