Obituary for Robert "Bert" C. Bonie
Robert “Bert” C. Bonie 05/26/1950-10/29/2021
Robert “Bert” C. Bonie was born in Mobile, Alabama on May 26, 1950 to Gene Henry Bonie, Sr. and Edna H. Oakley. He passed into the arms of Jesus, October 29, 2021 after a month long illness. He spent his life in the restaurant industry working for various chains in management. To know him was to love him. He had a very wild sense of humor.
He will be missed by all those who knew him.
Bert is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his daughter, Amy Jennings of Brandon, his son, John “Chris” Bonie of Jackson, sisters, Barbara Ervin (John) of Brandon, Becki Litman (Neal) of Miami, FL, brother, Gene H., Jr. (Laurie) of Cooper City, FL and grandchildren, Tyler Merritt (Kayla) of Washington, MO, Gabi Merritt and Shelby Jennings of Brandon and former wife and mother of his children, Rebecca Lowe of Brandon.
Visitation will be held at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 12pm-2pm. Memorial Service to be held directly after at 2pm.
The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors at St. Dominics ICU 1 North unit for their compassionate care & contribution.
