Obituary for Richard W Findley
Richard Weber Findley, 70, passed away Monday, December 16th, 2019, at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He was born September 13th, 1949, to the late Emmett Frances Findley and Florence Dixon Findley in Paris, IL. Richard was a long-time member of Trinity Presbyterian, where he had served as a deacon. Richard enjoyed the outdoors: hunting, fishing, and just walking or riding in the woods. He had a servant's heart and enjoyed helping people. However, he most enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his father and is survived by his mother; his wife, Phylis Findley of Ridgeland, MS; son, James Findley (Melissa) of Madison, MS; daughter, Courtney Matthews (Brad) of Pearl, MS; brothers, Allen Findley (Janice) of Madison and Bill Findley of Cleveland, MS; sister, Lorraine Findley of RIchland, MS; grandchildren, Ansley and Crosby Findley, Maddie and Rachel Matthews. A memorial service will be Wednesday, December 18th, 2019, at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Jackson at 11 a.m. with Dr. Baugus officiating. Visitation starts at 10:00 and service at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church.
