Obituary for Richard "Rickey" Thomas Green
Richard “Rickey” Thomas Green, 62, passed July 31, 2021, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Rickey was born April 8, 1959, in Crossett, Arkansas, the son of Don Thomas Green and Sue Alexander. He worked as a drafter and architectural designer with his uncle, Keith Marshall. Rickey was a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church and a graduate of Woodland Hills Baptist Academy. He also attended Mississippi State University. Rickey loved to travel with family, especially to Mexico and was looking forward to retirement in Puerto Vallarta. He enjoyed music, particularly 70’s and 80’s music. Rickey is preceded in death by his father, Don Thomas Green, his stepmother, Marcia Tippen Green, his stepfather, Floyd Henry Alexander, his brother, Don Kevin Green, and most recently, his niece, Sarah Faith Alexander Brantley. He is survived by his loving mother, Sue Alexander, his brother, Timothy Earl Green, his sisters, Lisa Alexander, Erica Green Harris, and Michelle Green Ford, brother in laws, sister in laws, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. We miss him greatly and await seeing him again when our times come. A memorial will be held at Broadmoor Baptist Church, Madison, MS, on Saturday, August 28. Visitation will be at 1:30 p.m. with the service following at 2 p.m.
