Obituary for Richard Douglas Clark
Richard Douglas Clark died unexpectedly on Monday, September 13, 2021 in Orange Beach, AL while celebrating his anniversary with his wife. He was 67.
A native of Ardmore, Oklahoma and born on April 24, 1954, he was the son of the late Arthur T. and Louise Caples Clark.
Richard grew up in Greenville, Mississippi and was a graduate of Greenville High School. He received his undergraduate degree from Cumberland College in Williamsburg, Kentucky. He was a longtime employee at Henley Law Firm.
Richard loved his family, his job, Ole Miss Football and his puppies Addie, Nora, and Cooper. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a niece, Stacey Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Clark, children, Mandy Hunt and Brian Hunt, all of Brandon; sisters, Linda Clark Jones (Richard) and Angela Clark Ross (Ray); brother, David Clark, all of Clinton; nephews, Brian Jones (Megan) and Stevie Jones (Amy); niece, Kimberly Woodward (Dustin); and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Lakeland Place Garden Park Cemetery in Flowood, Rev. Jeff Holland, officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland.
Pallbearers will be Brian Hunt, Stevie Jones, Dustin Woodward, Ricky Jones, Tommy Rouse, and Ross Henley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brand Henley, John Henley, Pat Henley, Patton Henley, Hap Henley, Dennis Peters, and Dustin Seanor.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Community Animal Rescue & Adoption (CARA), 960 N. Flag Chapel Road, Jackson, MS 39209.
