Obituary for Rhaelea McReynolds
Rhaelea McReynolds, USAF Captain, 79, passed away peacefully on December 23rd at Chateau Ridgeland Retirement community. She will be put to rest next to her husband of 43 years, James McReynolds, in Arlington National Cemetery. Rhaelea was born August 20, 1939, to the late Wallace and Wilma Moon Pankey, in Kewanee, Illinois. She met her husband, James, in Japan in 1970. They were married in Tennessee in 1972. James and Rhaelea traveled around the world together and retired in Jackson, MS. She worked at UMC as an Administrative Assistant for several years in the 80’s. She earned her Master’s degree at Murray State and taught English at the University of Tennessee. She was a member of M.O.A.A., Red Hat Society and an active member in the Brandon Horse Club.
Rhaelea is preceded in death by her husband- Lt. Col, James McReynolds; son- Keith Alan McReynolds; and her parents.
She is survived by her son- Randy (Martha) McReynolds of Spring, TX; grandchildren- R. Matthew McReynolds of Spring, TX, Linda M. McReynolds of Eugene, OR, James B.(Katie) McReynolds of Brandon,MS; great-grandchild- Kolten Chalmers of Eugene, OR; and numerous cousins in Iowa and Illinois.
