Obituary for Regina Cumberland Lack
Regina Cumberland Lack, 70, died Friday, June 24, 2022 at St. Dominic Hospital. A funeral service will bel held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Madison. A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Graveside services will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Gina was born on November 23, 1951, in Philadelphia, MS the daughter of the late Dewitt and Christine Cumberland. A 1969 graduate of Wingfield High School, she continued her education at the Jackson Commercial Business School.
Gina worked in administrative services for the VA Medical Center for 42 years. She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States with her husband, David, and had visited 48 states. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church and was active in mission work. She was a member of mission teams to Alaska, New York, and Dallas.
Most of all she cherished spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by a son, Matthew Lack; father, Dewitt Cumberland; mother, Christine Cumberland; father-in-law, Charles Lack; mother-in-law, Dora Lack; sister, Barbara Bankston and nephew, Jamie Jemison
She is survived by her husband, David Lack of Madison; son, Daniel Lack (Missy) of Madison; granddaughters, Alisse Lack and Recie Lack; a sister, Retha Graham (Ed) of Clinton; and brother-in-law, Randell Lack (Nelda) of Macon, GA.
