Obituary for Raymond Farley Salmon, IV.
Raymond “Farley” Salmon, IV passed away in his home in Atlanta, GA on June 19, 2022. Farley was born in Jackson, MS on February 3rd, 1988 to Emily Phillips Salmon and Raymond Farley “Fel” Salmon, III, where he attended St. Andrew’s Episcopal School and graduated from Jackson Preparatory School in 2006. He was a lifelong member of the Episcopal Church. He attended the University of Mississippi, where he was a devoted and passionate supporter of all Ole Miss athletics, particularly the football team. It was there that he discovered a passion for business and entrepreneurship prior to taking over his family’s small business in the textile industry. In 2010, Farley joined Sigmatex Lanier in Atlanta, GA as an account executive, and used his innovative ideas and ambitious mind to quickly ascend the ranks to become Director of Healthcare Sales followed by Director of Sales, a position he held since 2019. Farley served on the Textile Rental Services Association’s “Next Generation Executives Committee”. He was passionate about building relationships with people and was honored with the coveted “Above and Beyond Service Award”, an industry-wide award recognizing excellence and achievement in customer service. Farley is survived by his parents, Emily Phillips Salmon and Raymond Farley Salmon, III; his younger brother Bryant Alexander Salmon (Bailey) and his two nephews, Adams and Wiley Salmon; his maternal grandparents Peggy F. and Perry E. Phillips; his paternal grandmother Stella C. Salmon; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Raymond Farley Salmon, Jr. and cousin Thomas Hayes Mayo. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. James Episcopal Church or the Ole Miss Athletics Foundation. A visitation will be held at St. James Episcopal Church in Jackson, MS on Tuesday, June 28th at 10:30 am, followed by funeral service at 12:00.
