Obituary for Peggy Jo Deason Sheridan
Peggy Jo Deason Sheridan passed away Friday, September 25th, 2020 at Merit Health Hospital in Flowood. She was 72. Peggy was born December 23rd, 1947 in Kosciusko, MS to the late Claude and Dora McBride Deason. Over the years Peggy worked in retail sales at different stores such as, Woodworth, J.C. Penny’s and Gayfers, she later started her own business at the flea market named Peggy’s Place. In 2000, she retired and stayed with her family. Peggy was a devoted wife and mother. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Phillip J. Sheridan; sisters, Doris Deaton, Helen Deason Acy and Faye Deason Shivers; brothers, Edward, Bob, Ben and Charles Deason. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Jerry B. Sheridan; daughter, Tammy Chamblee (Brian); grandsons, Kyle and Devin Carter; and her sister, Laverne Deason Prouty. A graveside service is Tuesday, September 29th, 2020 at 11a.m. at Floral Hills Memory Gardens with Tommy Deason officiating. Visitation is 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Sebrell Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Rusty Jones, Keith Lynch, Matt Owens and David Cannon.
