She was one of many women that helped win World War II. Mrs. Baxter was a welder on war ships in New Orleans during the war, and was a proud American. Mama and Granny had strong faith and loved her God, her children, her country, and the Bulldogs. She lived in Chester for 88 years, and then made her home at trinity. Mrs. Baxter was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Merle and Nadine and brothers, Jackie and Grady, and great- grandchildren Brandi and Austin. She is survived by her children Betty Jean King (C.A.), Buddy Hugh Baxter (Ernestine), and Pearl Juanita “Nita” Outlaw (Johnny), grandchildren, Mike King (Becky), Barry Baxter(Julie), Angie Stevenson(Myron), Jarrett Outlaw(Regina), Todd Baxter, Daphne Landrum(David); her great grandchildren, Kristie Fowler(Scott), Brad Baxter, Samantha Stevenson, Heath and Taylor Outlaw, Addison, Presley and Shelby Grace Landrum; brother, Webb Kyle. Her children are grateful for the care Trinity gave for the last 11 years of her life. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, and I have kept the faith. – 2nd Timothy 4:7
