Patrick Harold McRaney, a long-time resident of the Jackson, Mississippi area passed away suddenly of a brief illness on Monday, June 21, 2021. Pat grew up in Gloster, Mississippi and was a graduate of Pine Hills Academy. After completing nursing school, he enjoyed a lengthy and fulfilling nursing career. He especially enjoyed working in nursing homes and long term care facilities where he had a special rapport with the elderly. When his mother was admitted to the nursing home in 2016, he would spend every chance he could with her reading passages from the Bible and praying over her. He was a lifelong Ole Miss fan and especially enjoyed football, gardening, and spending time with his family.
Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters Dana and Kimberly, and three sons, Patrick, Brian and Ryan, 16 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; three brothers, Lowell, Larry (June) and David McRaney; two sisters, Norma (Ralph) Alford and Anita (Jimmy) Bradley as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Pat is preceded in death by his Beloved Wife, Peggy Perkins McRaney; Parents, Robbie Graves McRaney and Harold Grayson McRaney; Brothers, Teddy and Deni; Sisters, Charlotte and Susie.
A memorial service will be held graveside at Rose Hill Cemetery in Centreville, Mississippi Friday afternoon at 2 p.m.
