IN LOVING MEMORY OF PATRICIA MORGAN WHITLOCK

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Morgan Whitlock, 67, of Jackson, Mississippi. She left this world peacefully at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS, on January 23, 2024.
Born on December 28, 1956 in Columbia, South Carolina, Patti was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend. Her smile would light up a room and she touched the lives of many.
Patti loved music, had many friends in the music industry and even toured with the band Black Oak Arkansas in the 70’s. As a waitress in her teenage years, she was given the nickname “Little Miss Hurricane” because she was always on the move (still a fitting nickname until her last days). Patti was also a great bowler and enjoyed playing in bowling leagues alongside her mother, Shirley Morgan. She enjoyed the beach, excelled at cooking and catering, loved entertaining, and being surrounded by her friends. Whether she was singing, dancing, cooking, or entertaining, she always brought joy to those around her.
Patti is survived by her husband and best friend, Frederick “Scott” Whitlock and their beloved dog, Annabelle; her mother, Shirley Morgan of Riverview, FL; her brother, Miles Morgan (Arlene) of Asheville, NC; her children, Mary Katherine Anderson (Eric) of Riverview, FL, Sheryl Anne Poole of Pelahatchie, MS, and Desarie Harrigill and Scottie Whitlock, both of Jackson, MS; grandchildren, Chase Anderson and Marshall Poole; nieces and nephews, Angela Henderson, Andrea Osteen (Daniel), and Mark Morgan.
Patti is preceded in death by her father, Richard Morgan and her brother Howard “Butch” Henderson.
She will be dearly missed by her extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that financial donations, in memory of Patti, be made to Mississippi Blood Services, Attn: Lisa Kirkpatrick, 115 Tree Street, Flowood, MS 39232. The family also requests anyone who can donate blood consider giving the “Gift of Life” by doing so.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the caregivers and medical staff who provided comfort and support during Patti’s final days.
