Obituary for Patricia Ann Nixon Neese Welshans
Patricia Ann Nixon Neese Welshans went home to be with her Lord on December 10, 2020. She was born to the late Rufus and Martha Nixon on April 1, 1941.
She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Johnny Neese and her youngest daughter, Pamela Neese, her brothers, R. B. Nixon and Timmy Nixon . She is survived by her husband, Robert Welshans, her daughter, Jackie Moody, her son, Stephen (Kathy) Neese, and daughter, Regina (Michael) Gwathmey; her grandchildren, Christopher (Kerri) Pohlhaus, Mary Lynne (John) DeMuth, Jessica (Yutaro) Tachibana, Stephen (Stacey) Neese Jr, Patricia (Andrew) Slugantz, Marcia Gwathmey, Nathan (Alexis) Neese, Katie Neese, Theodore Gwathmey; and 10 great grandchildren; her brother, Tommy (Barbara) Nixon, her sisters, Lynda (James) Moore, Sue Nixon, and Vickye (Kenny) Stocks; many nieces and nephews and of host of loving friends.
She was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Vicksburg, MS. She was a minister for 61 years and held a license with the United Pentecostal Church International since 1974. She and her late husband, Jack Neese, started and pastored five home missionary churches in MS and MD. She was a nurse for over 25 years. She helped raise several foster children and opened her doors to countless others. She was always showing love and compassion to those in need. She started Wings of Faith Ministry which helped many people and included a food bank. She survived polio as a very small child having lasting effects which did not prevent her from helping others despite her movement difficulties.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the loving care that our mother received at The Bluffs Rehabilitation Center over the last couple years.

Anyone attending must follow COVID social guidelines.
A graveside service will be held at 1 pm at the Salem Baptist Church cemetery in Raymond, MS. Officiating will be Rev. Dathan Tipton and Rev. Stephen Neese.
