Obituary for Pamela Ann Bowen Sandifer
Pamela Ann Bowen Sandifer, 69, died on June 1, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Sebrell Funeral Home with burial following in Jessamine Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Pamela was born on September 21, 1951, in Montgomery, Alabama, the daughter of the late Oscar and Evelyn Bowen. A longtime resident of Jackson, in 1970 she graduated from Murrah High School. Pamela worked for Mississippi Forestry Commission and HC Bailey prior to beginning her own business. An innovator, Pamela began Total Image and Professional Services, a professional shopping service. She began working in the infancy of the cellular industry, first working for MCTA (Bellsouth) and finally Cingular Wireless. She became consistently the top seller for Cingular and was awarded many trips for her efforts including, Disney, Bermuda and the Bahamas.
Pamela was an avid reader of John Grisham and John Patterson novels and could often be found on her back porch reading a book and enjoying a glass of wine. She most will be remembered as sweet, compassionate and energetic who cherished most of all spending time with her family.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, Wayne Scott Sandifer of Ridgeland; son, Robert Andrew Laseter and his wife Elizabeth of Pelahatchie; grandchildren, Alexis, Donavan and Ayden Laseter all of Pelahatchie and sister,Diana Hansen (Eric) Birmingham
