Obituary for Norma Sharon Bracknell
Norma Sharon Bracknell died Thursday, November 22, 2018 in her home in Crystal Springs. She was 64.
Sharon was born in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, on June 1, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Marcus L. and Mary Louise Gardner Wesley. She retired from Bellsouth following 32 years of dedicated service. Sharon was a football fanatic devoted to Alabama “Roll Tide” and the Dallas Cowboys. She was skilled at arts and crafts and enjoyed fishing. She enjoyed her family gathering at her home for meals and fellowship. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching them grow.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Steve Bracknell; and a grandson, Alex Barrett. She was also preceded by her first husband Carl Barrett; father of her two children.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Smith, of Crystal Springs; son, Wes Barrett, of Decatur, AL; sisters, Lynda Callista (Dave), of Florence and Carol Parker, of Richland; brother, Marcus Wesley, of Crystal Springs; grandchildren: Chase, Kyrstin, Logan, and Landon; one great grandchild, Rylee Grace; nephew, Zach Gaddy, of Crystal Springs and niece, Angela Joyner (Phil) and great niece, Allison Joyner of Lincoln, NE.
Visitation will be held 6 PM to 8 PM Monday, November 26, 2018 at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Sebrell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Jimmy Bryant officiating. Interment to follow at Crystal Springs City Cemetery.
