Norma Jean Ainsworth, 81, died Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson. A celebration of her love will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 2, 2024, at Fannin Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Sebrell Funeral Home and a visitation will resume Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Fannin Baptist Church with the service to follow at 11 a.m. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery in Taylorsville.
Mrs. Ainsworth was born on July 19, 1942, in Taylorsville, the daughter of the late Arthur and Myrtle Feroben. She retired from the automotive parts industry where she worked as a Watts Line Operator. She was fun, spunky, caring and loved to entertain and make people happy. Mrs. Ainsworth was extremely kind and would give anything to a stranger in need. Mrs. Ainsworth loved going to Pelahatchie Bay and eating lunch with her many friends. Most of all, she cherished her family and adored her grandchildren. She was a longtime member of Fannin Baptist Church. Along with her parents late Arthur and Myrtle Feroben, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kimble Allen Ainsworth, daughter, Tina Ainsworth, son, Jeff Ainsworth, and granddaughter, Abby Vanlandingham.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Tim Ainsworth of Pearl; a daughter-in-law, Leigh Ann Ainsworth of Brandon; grandchildren, Callie Vanlandingham of Brandon; Cade Ainsworth of Brandon; Betsy Ainsworth of Brandon; Brittany Schippa of Pelahatchie; Julia Kowalski of Gluckstadt; Brock Ainsworth of Brandon; Hunter Ainsworth of Pearl and a host of great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia Cargile of Jackson, MS and her brother Jerry Feroben of Sacremento, California.
