Obituary for Nancy Jane Rogers
Nancy Jane Rogers, 62, died Monday, December 4, 2017 at Hospice Ministries. A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Nancy was born on December 30, 1954, in Jackson, the daughter of the late Charles Elliott Whatley and Syble Eugenia Whatley. A graduate of Clinton High School, she worked as a drug and alcohol counselor at the Mississippi State Hospital beginning in 1985 until her retirement in 2004. After retiring, she managed the Tobacco Town for 10 years. Nancy was an avid reader of mystery novels. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Rogers. Survivors include: daughters, Jodye Sabatini (Andrew) of Brandon; Jessica Dorman of Jackson; grandchildren, Caden Black of Jackson; Harrison Daniel of Brandon and Lucca Sabatini of Brandon; sister, Suzanne Hemleben (Scott) of Ridgeland and brother, Michael Whatley.
