Obituary for Nancy Hughes Parker
Nancy Hughes Parker, 84, died on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.

A native of Oakland, Mississippi, born March 31, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Mason and Hazel Hughes.

Nancy spent many years as an administrative secretary for Farm Bureau Insurance. She was a wonderful cook, an avid Mississippi State fan, and attended Broadmoor Baptist Church. She loved her family and her friends and had a great sense of humor with lots of laughter.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Russell Parker; her twin sisters, Martha H. Collins and Mary H. Roques; and a brother, James Howard Hughes.

She is survived by her niece, Karen Cox (Chris), of Brandon; nephews, Jim Collins, of Brandon and Joe Ed Collins, of Colorado; and a host of other relatives.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 in the Chapel of Broadmoor Baptist Church in Madison, Rev. Cliff Hardin, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Ministries of Ridgeland.
