Obituary for Myles Tucker Little
Myles Little, 21, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022, in Houston, Texas. Born in Flowood, Mississippi to his parents Jeremy Little and Lauren Randle, Myles grew up in Jackson, Mississippi with his mom and stepfather, Jonathan Randle. He traveled frequently to New York City to visit his father, a tenor with the New York Metropolitan Opera, and spent many happy holidays and summer vacations visiting New York and traveling with his dad. A creative and imaginative child, Myles became an accomplished young pianist and always loved music. As he grew up his interests shifted toward athletics: he became a passionate fan of LSU football. Myles played football at Madison Ridgeland Academy until he transferred to Jackson Prep his junior year, where he continued to play during his senior year, relishing every moment of his time with his teammates. He graduated from Jackson Prep in 2019 and headed to Louisiana State University with a big scholarship and his hopes and dreams. Myles cared deeply for his friends and depended on them for comfort, support, and encouragement. Those who were especially dear to him provided a constant and steadfast friendship through difficult days. Many of his friends were Christ-like pictures of faithfulness and persistent pursuit, and he treasured their presence in his life. Myles also enjoyed time with his grandfathers, Andrew Brown and Eddie Little. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and learning any new hands-on skill. Myles loved to travel and experience new places and cultures. He often said that Paris was his favorite place he ever visited. After leaving LSU in 2020, Myles became an excellent cabinet maker and trim carpenter, working with The Cabinet Maker in Baton Rouge, and later Fin Cabinetry in Austin. In the spring of 2022, Myles began working with Raum Furniture in Houston, making hand-crafted furniture. He was recently promoted to foreman and was creating beautiful pieces with great pride in his work. Myles is survived by his mother Lauren Randle (Jonathan) and father Jeremy Little (Anne); sisters Fiona Randle, Elinor Randle, and Corrie Little; grandparents Andrew and Elizabeth Brown, Eddie and Rhonda Little, and Tom and Beverly Randle; his great-grandmother Frances Myers; and his dear friend and partner Heather Murrill. Services are scheduled at First Presbyterian Church, Jackson, with a visitation on Thursday, August 11, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., and a funeral service on Friday, August 12, at 11:00 a.m. Donations in memory of Myles may be made to Omega Recovery, 1710 Evergreen Ave, Ste B, Austin, TX 78704, or to the Michael J. Fox foundation in honor of his grandfathers.
