Obituary for Mitchell "Mitch" R. Lewis
Mitchell R. “Mitch” Lewis, 75, of Terry, MS went to be with the Lord Monday, December 19, 2016 at St. Dominic Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Trinity Wesleyan Church in Byram with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. Mitch was born on June 15, 1941 in Kentwood, LA, the son of the late Ralph and Louie Dell Lewis. He was a homebuilder and built many houses in the Jackson and surrounding areas. Mitch served in the U.S. Army National Guard and was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, James W. Lewis; nephew, John Hart and brother-in-law, Shelton Hart. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Pamela M. Lewis; daughter, Nikki Neal (John Neal), son, Mitchell R. Lewis, II (Dee Denton); son, Trent Lewis; grandchildren, Karly Neal Thames (David Thames); Ashlyn Neal; great grandchildren, Hartlee and Wyatt Thames; sisters, Dura Hart and Martha Holbrooke In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Blair E. Batson.
